    How does our program work?

Our program is designed to help indebted individuals reach agreeable arrangements with their creditors and lenders. Although we cannot guarantee results, we’ve demonstrated a great track record with our clients, and we feel confident in taking on even the most extreme consumer debt cases.

Once you enroll, we ask you to provide us with key information to “help us help you.” This info may include data about your assets and liabilities as well as correspondence from collection agencies, creditors, and lenders. It’s up to you to maintain your budget, to accept or deny solicitations from new creditors, and to manage the funds you’ll be using to pay down your debts.

We use a wide battery of battle-proven methods to achieve our goals. Our process is far from perfect, but since we deeply understand the needs and fears of lenders, we are generally far more effective than unschooled individuals at achieving desired outcomes.

Our company will not make payments directly to your creditors, since our doing so could cause problems with your credit report. We do the negotiating; you do the paying.

The process of debt settlement is never pain-free, and any credit counseling service, debt settlement agency, or other entity that promises you absolute results is not being truthful. Moreover, as you progress through the debt settlement process, jilted creditors may become agitated and take actions against you, including sending letters; hiring collection agencies to harass you; and filing lawsuits against you. When you join our program, we will send a Cease and Desist Letter to the collection agencies. (That said, you do have rights under the law to stop undue harassment; and excessively belligerent phone calls, and the collection companies can even be penalized pursuant to the FCRA.)

These concerns aside, the CDF Group approach boasts many advantages:
Our debt consultants have experience dealing with all manner of circumstances. We are honest, consumer-friendly and well-regarded by our industry peers.
We provide customized assistance with debt repayment plans.
We are accredited members by U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
We can help negotiate personal loans, credit card debts, medical bills in collections, unsecured bank loans, and other debts.

Here are three sample case studies of clients who might find our debt settlement program useful:

Case Study #1: Sally Sally was 26 and married when she had her first baby. At age 31, she separated from her husband just 8 months after the birth of her second child. Now 34 and struggling to pay her bills, Sally serves as the sole caretaker for her two children. Although her ex-husband pays some child support, the lion’s share of Sally’s income had come from her job as an administrative assistant… that is, until the financial earthquake of 2008 hit, forcing her company to let her go to cut costs. Since being fired, Sally has nailed down a few temporary gigs, but she’s had difficulty sustaining a steady paycheck. Her bills have mounted over time, and she’s now at the point where she can barely make the minimum payments on her three credit cards. CDF Group could help someone like Sally. We could negotiate her outstanding accounts, on her behalf to reduce her balances, improve her debt-to-income ratio, and give her the financial breathing room she needs to get back on her feet.

Case Study #2: George George has labored as a union employee in an auto assembly shop outside of Detroit since he left high school. Now at the age of 44, George fears for his job security, and he’s seen his retirement accounts ravaged by the recent downturn in the markets. On top of everything, he suffers from severe arthritis, presumably brought on by overuse of his hands at work. With his medical bills piling up, George took out a home equity loan to straighten-out his financial plan. But the money from that loan is now nearly gone, and the bills are continuing to pile up. George is at the end of his rope. CDF Group may be able to help someone like George resolve his debts without resorting to bankruptcy. We boast tremendous “on the ground” experience negotiating with medical bill collectors and other holders of unsecured debt.

Case Study #3: Gina Gina (27) took out a student loan to attend a prestigious Master’s Degree program. But three years after graduating this program with Honors, she’s found herself snowed under by credit card debt. On top of that, she’s still got those pesky student loans to pay down, AND she can’t find employment related to her field of specialty. While a company like CDF Group can’t help Gina negotiate her student loans away (if they are government loans), we can negotiate her credit card debt.
